Getting started
How does the free trial work?+
You get seven days with every feature on the plan you choose, and no credit card is needed to start. When you’re ready, pick a plan and add a card. If you don’t, your trial simply ends and nothing is charged.
I’m not technical. Will I actually use it?+
If you can shop online and send an email, you can run Palettiq. Clip a product, drop it in a room, press Present. Every plan includes setup help by email.
Can I bring in projects I already have?+
Yes. Import selections from Excel, CSV or Google Sheets, or drop in vendor PDF quotes. Rooms, quantities and prices come in with them, so you don’t start over mid-project.
How long does setup take?+
Add your logo, colors and markup, then clip your first room in an afternoon. A full project can follow in a day or two, not a week.
Clients and presentations
Do my clients need an app?+
No app to download. You invite them by email; the first time, they choose a password, and from then on it opens on their phone, tablet or laptop. They walk each room, comment on any selection and approve or sign right there.
Will it look like my studio, or like Palettiq?+
Like your studio. Look books carry your logo, colors and fonts in six styles, from editorial magazine to presentation boards. You can present on screen or send a print-ready PDF.
Can I keep my trade pricing and markup private?+
Yes. Clients see only the final price, and you can hide pricing on any look book. Your trade cost and markup stay inside the studio, and builder or trade seats see their lines, never your margins.
What happens when a client changes their mind?+
Swap the selection and the look book, spec book and pricing update together. The approval log keeps every version, so there’s never a question about what was signed.
Products, orders and builders
What does Product Capture read?+
Install the browser extension, open any retailer or trade site and click once. It reads the photo, price, finish, size, dimensions, lead time and spec sheet and files it to the right room. Most pages are read without AI and cost nothing; AI steps in only when a page hides its details.
What if I use more AI than my plan includes?+
Solo covers about 1,000 AI requests or 300 picture generations a month, and Studio about 3,500 requests or 1,100 pictures (a little less on yearly plans). Running low? Add a $10, $25 or $50 top-up from Billing; nothing is charged automatically. If you do run out, only the AI pauses: Product Capture, worksheets and books keep working.
Does it track orders after the client signs?+
Yes. Every approved piece moves into procurement with a status and date for order, ship, delivery and install, so you can see what’s late before your client asks.
Can my builder and trades work from it?+
Yes. Generate a spec book and bid packages from the same selections, tagged by trade or by room. Builders and trades get their own seats and see only what they need.
Plans, billing and your data
Can I change plans or cancel anytime?+
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade or cancel from your account settings at any time. Pay yearly and you save up to 24%.
Does Palettiq replace my bookkeeping software?+
Palettiq handles the project side of the money: pricing, markup, change orders and client invoices. Keep your accounting app for taxes and payroll; your numbers export to Excel or CSV.
Who owns my data, and is it secure?+
You do. Your library and projects are yours to export at any time as PDF, Excel or CSV. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and client links are private to the people you send them to.
What’s the difference between Studio and Enterprise?+
Studio fits a firm of up to five designers sharing one library. Enterprise is for larger firms and luxury home builders: up to 15 seats, builder procurement, firm-wide templates and a dedicated success manager.
For clients and homeowners
Your designer invited you. Here’s how it works.
Questions about your project itself — a finish, a price, a date — go to your designer. These are about using the portal.
Signing in
Your first sign-in+
- Open the invitation email and click the button in it. The link works once.
- Choose a password of at least 10 characters, type it again, and save.
- You’re in. From then on, sign in at palettiq.com/login with your email and that password.
The link has expired or was already used? Ask whoever invited you to send it again.
I forgot my password.+
On the sign-in page, choose “Forgot? Email me a link” and we’ll email you a link to sign in.
Do I need to download an app?+
No. Everything opens in your web browser — on your phone, tablet or computer.
Your selections
What will I see in the portal?+
Your home, room by room: what your designer has chosen or is suggesting for each, with pictures and details, and the look books and presentations they share with you. Your designer decides what’s shared.
How do I approve something, or ask for a change?+
Open a room and go through its selections. You can approve a choice, pick between the options your designer gives you, or ask for a change with a note. When a room is ready, you approve or sign it, and your designer is told.
Will I see prices?+
Only if your designer shares them on your project. When they do, you see the price of each item — never their trade costs or margins.
Who else can see my project?+
Your designer’s studio and the people they invite to your project — for example your builder, who sees what they need for the work. Nobody else, and your project is never shown to other clients.
